mini e-book club session

Want to have a mini e-book club discussion with me?
It might help with my homework (wink, wink)

It's to bad I can't magically send everyone some mini chicken salad sandwiches, brownie bites, and fresh squeezed lemonade to snack on during our book chat but I don't think that's possible. You'll need to provide your own treats.

Topic: Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Where: Comment Box

I absolutely love the book and movie Pride & Prejudice. I love the charm and romance and the Victorian style. I have to write an essay on Pride & Prejudice and Love. I was hoping you could  give me your opinion, along with any other tid bits you might have about Pride & Prejudice or love for that matter.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Have you seen or read Pride & Prejudice? What do you think about it?

Isn't this a perfect topic right before Valentine's day. I have seen the movie but not read the book. I'm going through a phase right now of watching those kinds of movies and reading those kind of books. And I love my new piano music of Jane Austens' movie songs. I played them last night at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I had a lady come up and ask what the song was, she recognized it from the movie.

I have heard people fall in love at first sight. I think with your Dad it might have been crush at first sight but love came really, really fast.

Did I mention I love the movie?

Was that enough to get a cupcake with you on Friday?

Love,
Mom

@ lesa

Yep cupcake earned! :)

I agree that crush at first sight is super common! I love the music from the newest P&P movie. And don't you just love that old piano that the girls play on all the time?

clarification....

I was talking about the old piano in the movie :)

I have never read the book either. I just do not read anything lately. I LOVE the movie though. Both the new version and the old. I think you can be very attracted to someone at first sight, but to actually love them, like the way I love Kurtis...I think that is pretty out there. I know what movie I will be watching while I iron tomorrow!

I've tried to read the book, but just can't get very far in it. It's not really my kind of story. So I'm not much help there.

But...
I most definitely believe in love at first sight. I happened to me. I knew who Brian was before he left for his mission, but didn't "know" him. I never even spoke to him. The first time I saw and spoke with him was a couple of days after he got home from his mission and my spirit literally leapt inside my body. I physically felt it. I didn't even know him, but my spirit recognized him at the right time in the right place. I felt this immense feeling of joy. I was still a Senior in high school though - we were married 14 months later in the temple. My feelings for him have only grown deeper and stronger in the 18 years we have been married.

I adore the movie! The one with Keira Knightly is my favorite movie EVER. I love the way they speak during that time. I can't tell you exactly WHY it is that I love the movie so much - but I think I watch it at least once a month.
