We ♥ Sophie!

April 27, 2010

Y

Brian and Sophie. Guess what they are doing??
Watching this.....
ANIMAL PLANET!!
You may remember that Brian loves the nature channel and animal planet.

Sophie loves to watch the tv. She just stares at it. {as you can see from the picture}
I am sure it is just because there is so much color and movement
but Brian claims she ONLY likes to watch animal planet just like him. :)

♥ We love our Sophie girl! ♥

Taking a Vote

January 30, 2010

Okay bloggers I am taking a vote! Now that Sophie is 5 weeks old does she look more like me or Brian?
{I will give you a few pictures of her...}

Three times the charm!

January 20, 2010

Sophie has now slept 6-7 hours for 3 nights in a row! YAY! Hopefully now that she has done it three times in a row she remembers how and will sleep that long every night! This new sleeping habit it thanks to my mom who suggested a new bedtime routine.
1. Bath {Sophie loves baths! They really calm her down}
2. Dry off {have to do this fast otherwise she gets cold, which makes her mad}
3. Lotion
4. Play {we let her play for a little bit, and stretch her legs}
5. Eat
6. Rock her to sleep
And tada! A sleeping baby!

....and no it hasn't always been this easy to get her to sleep, and I know that it won't always be but I can hope! :)

Love

January 7, 2010

We love Sophie! We love being her parents! We love getting to watch all the faces she makes while she is sleeping! We love cuddling with her! We love watching family play with her and hold her! We love that we have good examples of how to be parents, from our own parents! We love getting her dressed in her tiny pink clothes! We love her smile! We love Sophie! We are so blessed!

December 31, 2009

She is finally here! On Saturday December 26th 2009 we went to the hospital at 11am to be induced! Brian and I were so excited and very nervous, neither one of us knew what to expect! They started me on Pitocin at 12:30 and the doctor came at 2pm and broke my water. At 6pm I had the miracle of the epideral! {Totally worth it, and not as scary as everyone says}Everything went very well and Sophie was born at 10:34pm, weight 6 lbs 4 oz, and was 20.5 inches long! She is a cutie! Brian and I love her so much! What a blessing she is!

The first time Brian held her. I think she was instantly a Daddys girl. Look at her face!

Grandpa and Dad!

Grandma's first time holding her!

My Mom took some adorable pictures of her!!!

I just love all the different faces she makes! I love to just sit and watch her!

Tiny little fingers

My finger looks so huge! :)

We caught her crying. Which, luckliy and thankfully, she doesn't do a whole lot of....yet.

We LOVE you Sophie!
