My Office

August 19, 2010

With school starting next week, and the daunting task of applying to pharmacy school  I came to the conclusion that we needed an office, a place to be organzied.

As of lately I have been using my kitchen table for my office {to blog, pay bills, find recipes, google everything...}

You are probably thinking "where do you eat?"
:: At the bar top counter.

The last time was that we actually sat at the kitchen table for a meal was a few weeks ago when some friends came over for lunch. Besides that... ah.....

So in an effort to get organized + free up the kitchen table for its rightful use I started brainstorming ideas for a new office area.

Then I stumbled across this blog.
She made re-did her closet into an office. What a smart idea!
We don't have an extra closet in our townhouse but we do have a little area by our stairs that was home to a bookcase. Not for long!

wow thats a messy bookself! :)
It also looks like it is going to fall over any min because of the picture... it's not!

I moved the bookself into Sophie's Room.
At first I tried to move it with all the books still on the self but I quickly learned
I am not that tough.
I had to empty out the books, and then move it.
It was still a challenge but I finally got it there.

I replaced the books back onto the bookcase exaclty how they were before.
Randoml, anywhere, and a giant mess.
I should have gone through the books and organzied them but I was to excited about my new "office" to do that.

We happen to have a old desk from wal-mart that fit into my new office *perfectly*
I bought a few school supplies/organizational supplies including a new planner and I was set.

There is even a plug for my computer!

It's not super cutsy or anything ....
If it was up to me I would paint the wall on the left but we are renters so that's a no.

The main thing is that I have a place to be organized, a notebook for school, pharmacy to do's, a spot for my camera, my planner and my bill paying items.
Now, I just need to stick with it!
That's the hard part!

So smart! What would we do without the internet or blogs for that matter.

Great idea! I wish we had a place for our "office" too. Our computer is sitting on our kitchen table as well!
