Getting Healthy Challenge

P.S. {Pre Script} I feel a little awkward writing this post because exercising and eating habits are such a personal thing. Just know I am posting this as a motivation to me. Once it's posted on my little piece of blogland for the whole world {ok my few fab readers} to see it's a done deal, I can't go back. I have to be successful! ;) Right???

P.P.S - I am not an expert on this topic!


My sister-in-law, Jenny, are having a friendly challenge! We are both tyring to finish getting back in shape after having a baby. We are going to work on it together so that  we can help encourage each other. We are also going to be posting about our progress on our blogs. We figure the more people we have to be accountable too the better!


We started last monday.


Here is what our "getting healthy" entails...
#1. No treats {or very sparingly}
#2. Lose 10lbs in a month
#3. Exercise 4-5 times a week


Anyone that wants to join us in our goals to get healthy is invited! Getting in shape, eating right, and exercising is such a daunting task. But we can do it ladies!

My Progress:
9/20

I worked out 4 times last week...
• 1 - 20 min turbo jam dvd
• 1 killer {i about died} Jillian Michales "no more trouble zones" workout
• 2 walks - in my neighborhood, each 3 miles

I did pretty good with eating.
I had an awesome {post coming soon} girls day which included olive garden,
 key lime truffles, and ice cream but besides that I did ok!

My favorite snack this week has been the dessert flavors of
light yoplait yogurt.

Black Forest Cake
Triple Berry Torte
Red Velvet Cake

They have helped with my constant treat cravings! :)
Especially when I see recipes like these. Could everyone please stop posting such yummy looking treat recipes!
I always want to make them, all of them! thanks :)

As far as weight loss... I have lost 2lbs since we decided to have the competition

I did okay-ish on eating.
I did find a few delicious treats to eat! Like chocolate cake and a lemon cupcake
and a chocolate brownie.I am still in love with light yoplait yogurts!
Weight:
Lost 1.6 lbs since last week
Total: 3.6

lbs lost: 1.2
total: 4.8

The goal was 10lbs by the 15th....
So I think i will be taking an extension on this challenge :)

Good for you! Though I don't think you even need to lose weight! But I love friendly challenges, and you're so right..it is so much easier to do when you have others involved and you have to be accountable to them :)

Count me in after November!! (Or wait, maybe after Christmas ;)

You did awesome. I need to post my progress. I could not stay away from the treats this weekend, so I paid a price. I only lost 1 lb. This week. Hopefully next week will be much better.

This is awesome! I just restarted my journey today. I feel so much better after exercising and eating better. And I only started around noon! I look forward to reading about your progress. I plan to keep mine updated as well. I think I might even put *gasp* photos up! LOL

Go you! I wish I had more motivation to diet and exercise. I love going on walks but I hate exercising! : )
