On Mondays Brian gets done with school at 1 in the afternoon and doesn't have to go to work. So we usually try to do something fun, even if it is just rent a Redbox. Yesterday we decided we would go to the mall and walk around. We got the diaper bag loaded, Sophie strapped in and we were off! We got to the mall and there was practically no cars in the parking lot? And it looked really dark inside? So we drove by the door and the sign said "Mall closed. Power Out."

We still wanted to go to the mall so we drove to Riverdale. They were open. :) We got out the stroller and put Sophie in. She always falls asleep in the stroller! We started to wander around the mall and came across one of those winter clothes stores {I can't remember the name.} They have all kinds of snowboarding clothes and since it’s the middle/end of the season everything was WAY on sale. Brian has not owned snow pants since I have known him. He just wears basketball pants and deals with wet pants. So we looked and found snow pants for him for $29! The original price was $120. What a steal!

I have some birthday shopping money I have been trying to spend but I haven't found anything I have wanted. And I like shopping! The styles right now are just so trashy and out there. For example...

We saw jeans like this all over the mall! They come pre-bleached and torn! What? Maybe it’s just me but who wants to spend $40 on a pair of pants that look like you have had them for years! And it seems like all the shirts now are sleeveless. It is getting harder and harder to find cute clothes that are modest. Anyone know of different stores to shop at with cute modest clothes?
After we were done at the mall we went to wal-mart, bought a few things we needed and went home. It was about 7 and Sophie seemed really tired so we decided to start her bedtime routine a little early, and it turned out to be a great idea! She slept from 8-1am and then from 2-6! Yay! I think she might finally have her days and nights figured out a little bit more!

It sounds like a fun day. I agree that the styles right now are very interesting.

I'm so glad she is sleeping well!

Brian needs to go snowboarding now!

I hate shopping simply because I can never find anything!

I bet you had a nice day! Glad to hear Sophie is sleeping so well. I know it makes my days easier when my kids are sleeping at night!
